Visualizing the 99 Percent

We are the 99 percent. We are getting kicked out of our homes. We are forced to choose between groceries and rent. We are denied quality medical care. We are suffering from environmental pollution. We are working long hours for little pay and no rights, if we’re working at all. We are getting nothing while the other 1 percent is getting everything. We are the 99 percent.

We Are the 99 Percent – TUMBLR

Take a few minutes to read through the statements on this tumblr.  I read an article last night that related the fact that this site is averaging over 200 new posts like this every day.  I look at issues like this and think about #OccupyWallStreet (if you’re on Twitter try out this hashtag!) or the other Occupy movements, what are your impressions about this movement?  Will this develop into a full fledged (lasting) movement?  Do you empathize, understand, or remain skeptical about these various expressions of political values?

On a different note, have you been to Occupy Atlanta?  If you have, would you mind sharing what you saw and experienced there!
